Prep your feet for sandal weather

I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite aspects of summer is resurrecting my favorite pairs of cute strappy sandals and living in them like it’s my job. Sandals can truly transform an outfit that would be weighed down by bulky sneakers into a summery ensemble. One small price to pay, however, is that wearing them constantly can do a number on your feet and leave them dry and cracked – which is probably not the look you’re going for. Luckily, it’s no problem a couple of simple fixes can’t solve. If your feet are a sight for sore eyes, try the following steps to get them back into shape:
1. Moisturize using shea butter cream
If you frequently find yourself slathering body lotion onto your rough feet only to see little to no improvement, it’s probably time to switch to something more heavy duty. Try switching to a rich shea butter cream for some serious moisturizing. While you’re at it, you can use it on your dry knees and elbows as well. If you like fragrant products, try using the Whipped Shea Butter Coconut Cream by Shea Radiance. The scent of coconut oil just might have you feeling like you’re off in an uncharted tropical location. Try moisturizing immediately after you shower to lock in the moisture.
2. Wear moisturizing socks to bed
Now all you need is some reinforcement! Once you’ve gotten your feet soft, smooth and moisturized again with a rich shea butter cream, you’ll want to make sure it stays that way. Try getting into the habit of wearing moisturizing socks to bed, which will help your skin absorb and retain the oils from your shea butter cream.
For some optional pampering, paint your toes a pretty color or get a pedi and get out and enjoy the sandal weather!
