Decorating your home for Fourth of July
The Fourth of July is officially upon us. What are you going to do to commemorate this monumental holiday? A good place to start is by decorating your home. You can always tell that it is Independence Day when all the homes in your neighborhood are decorated in red, white, and blue.
Not sure what qualifies as awesome Fourth of July decoration? Not to worry, here are a few things you can do to display your patriotic pride today.
Needless to say, showing off the American Flag on Independence Day is the first thing you need to do. I suggest placing a large American flag in a flag pole holder outside your house and then decorating your dinner table or your front porch with a bunch of small ones.
A patriotic star bunting is another essential bit of Fourth of July decoration. They are vibrant and stand out from far away for everyone to see. A patriotic house bunting would look great on your front porch. If you would prefer to set your bunting up inside, do it by the window so that it is visible from the outside.
Setting up the dinner table
When the family gathers around for dinner, make sure they still have the Fourth of July spirit in them by decorating the table with stars and stripes. Cover the table with a patriotic table cloth and set up an Uncle Sam doll as the centerpiece.
Show anyone who comes to your door that you are in the Independence Day spirit by placing a patriotic rug outside your front door or in the middle of your porch. Patriotic rugs come in many different sizes and in a variety of fancy patterns.
Simple decorations like these ought to infuse your home with joy as you commemorate a tremendously important historical event.
