Best of the Web: Style Blogs of the Week

Envy has long been considered a deadly sin, but we can make an exception for style envy — right? After all, it can be a great source of inspiration when you’re putting together your own outfits and developing your personal style. With all that said, we’re going to freely admit that we have plenty of style envy for the ladies behind the blogs below. Some of our favorite looks we’ve spotted on their blogs include Christina Marie’s pairing of a floral dress with a plaid shirt, Melissa’s handmade neon choker and bangles, Magna’s transparent clutch, and Sarah’s ’70s neon pattern maxi.

Just Take a Bow

“Just Take a Bow is a personal style and life adventures hub for a 20-something living in Portland, Oregon. I’m just a quirky girl going about her life and trying to offer fresh ideas, affordable thrifted and vintage style, and amusing anecdotes for your reading pleasure. I’ve been told I’ve got a unique thing going, but you’ll have to be the judge of that, won’t you?” — Sarah

 Just Daily Things

“On Just Daily Things you can read about and take a look at my personal favorites in everything fashion. It’s a blend of my personal style and inspiration. I show people what I wear and the things that inspire me.” — Magna

ISSA TCHIEU

“I am a person who expresses her thoughts through her wardrobe. My choice of clothes dictates my mood and my eye for a trend for that day. Picking ideas from my day-to-day design work, I translate them into my own. As a fashion designer, I attend fashion shows and trade shows, and I’m exposed to many fashion portals and interact with other designers in the same field.

I am passionate about my work and always willing to share my ideas with others. Hence, I created a blog last September to share my forecast on trends and dressing up. Blogging allows me to share and meet new people who in return inspire me with their perspective on fashion and style. It has been a great platform for me to widen my knowledge and know a great deal of people who give meaning to blogging.” — Melissa

MerelyMarie

“Classic. Comfortable. Everyday. Those are words I like to use when describing my style.

Food! Style! Design! Life! These best describe MerelyMarie! My blog features outfit posts, but it’s about so much more than style. I have a wide range of interests that I enjoy documenting and sharing. Interests that currently include: shopping at thrift stores, luxurious leather goods, cooking and baking up deliciousness, graphic design, coffee, being entertained, short hair, lingerie, growing into the best version of myself, learning, and living my best life.” — Christina Marie

In the mood for a DIY challenge? Pick out an object you have lying around the house and try repurposing it to organize your accessories. Whether you decide to turn that Cordoba C5 guitar you never learned to play into a jewelry organizer or transform a rake into a scarf rack, have fun getting creative!
