How to decorate your bed in a country theme
There are many different themes that you can use to decorate your whole home. But did you know that you can even decorate your bed to go with your theme? Utilizing space like your bedding is an optimum way to decorate your bedroom because it completely sets the overall tone of your room. Keep reading to see what tips we can give you on using bedding for decorating.
If you’re choosing to decorate a child’s room, then use something like your child’s favorite cartoon character. Or if you want a more modern look then you can get a beautiful duvet that has lots of color blocking. Something I would love to decorate my child’s room with are some twin size gingham sheets, I like them because they have a fun pattern but can still be incorporated with a general style you’re looking for.
You know, it also doesn’t have to end at just the bedding, sometimes you can go as far as when you buy the bed itself you can use it as a part of your theme. A perfect example of this is a racecar bed for a little boy. You can make the whole room racing themed with car lamps, rugs and even curtains.
But to keep with a country theme, I would recommend getting something like a white iron headboard, most of the time you can buy these that have a vintage feel to them and it can really pull your whole room together.
When it comes to decorating it’s all in the small details, so if your bed headboard looks more worn or vintage then that’s even better. It gives it character and creates interest in your room. You can even use the white headboard with the gingham sheets and it will make your room feel homey and have the cottage, country feel you’re after.
