Your 2012 Halloween costume guide
Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. You get to dress up, go to fun parties and most importantly, eat all the candy you want! Well, maybe that last one was why I liked it as a kid, but the first two still hold true today. If you’re completely stumped as to what to wear for this Halloween, don’t worry, we have you covered. Keep reading to see what you should don for the year’s spookiest holiday of all.
For the guys
One of the year’s biggest and best films happened to be Marvel’s: The Avengers. It was action packed, had a fun plot and who can forget about all the amazing outfits worn by the super heroes themselves? Trust us, seeing Captain America and Iron Man will be commonplace at any costumed function you’ll attend. There’s never too many, so picking up Avengers costumes would really be a great way to stay current for this year. One suggestion if you want a couple’s outfit then have your girl go as Black Widow and the man go as whatever hero is his favorite.
For the girls
While the sultry police officer and nurse have been way overdone, it’s probably about time to step up your game a little bit. What we recommend if you want to get laughs and a fun costume be daring and bold. One of my first choices for Halloween this year was dressing up as the famous Sookie Stackhouse. She’s surrounded by vampires on a daily basis so what better costume for us girls to sport around monsters than the mistress of fairies herself? Just make sure not to forget her signature waitress apron.
For the kids
The second biggest super hero movie to hit theatres this year was The Amazing Spiderman. If you pick up some Marvel costumes, then you’ll be able to dress your kid as one of the best super heroes around. If you want to make his costume extra fun, pick up a canister of silly string to act as his spider web. Make sure that the little guy cleans up after himself though! You don’t want a huge mess on your hands.
So that about wraps it up for our Halloween segment this year. Make sure to stay safe out there, have fun and Happy Halloween!
