Figure flattering petite clothes
I have a lot of friends who think that being petite means restrictive choice for fashionable clothes. But I don’t agree. Petite clothes can be cute too, even if someone happens to be vertically challenged. Think celebrities like Reese Witherspoon or Rachel Bilson! The idea is to dress up right by picking clothes that are figure flattering.
As a rule of thumb, avoid ill-fitting clothes, and this goes for all women. It’s always very important for women who are short to keep in mind that they should be wearing petite clothes and not be swimming in clothes that don’t fit in them. If you have a problem of gaps at the waist, then opt for jeans that are customized to suit your body type.
If you can’t find those, then try petite jeans with elastic waistband. Check out these cute pink ‘Love at first sight’ Poly Shantung pants by Alfred Dunner. It blends the look of silk in easy-care poly and features a 3/4 elastic waist with flat-front panel, slant pockets and a great fit. You will love wearing it because it gives you the freedom to bend over or wear short blouses, without worrying about gaps.
Skinny jeans are great to wear because they make your legs appear longer and slimmer than you actually are. So if someone who normally has a petite figure, then these would be a great find. Skinny jeans can be picked in stretchable styles or even non-stretch. Add a variety of colors to your wardrobe and make it more versatile instead of sticking to just classic blues.
In fact, peppy colors are a rage this fall. Teens and juniors can in fact experiment a lot more. For example, pair your classic gray skinny jeans for juniors with bright tops. Or go for a fuchsia or neon orange with white or neutral colored tops and flaunt that petite frame with a little fun flair.
