3 important items to have in your nursery
There cannot be enough words that can possibly describe how unparalleled the experience of becoming a parent is. The joy that one gets to know that you are the instrument of bringing yet another life into this world cannot be completely explained. However, as the saying goes, with great power, there is also great responsibility; the parenthood necessitates getting the best for your child. This means not only fulfilling your child’s needs but also their wants.
Among the most essential items for your newborn, a crib is most important. Equally important is the changing table and a soothing crib mobile to put your baby to rest peacefully.
Let us begin with the crib. Crib can be one of the most expensive items of the baby nursery. There is a range available in terms of brands, colors and types. What is most important is to see that all the safety measures have well been taken care of. For example, the slats should be no more than 2 3/8 inches wide. Also check for the drop down option for the mattress. Go for a convertible crib if your budget allows. They are not only solid but sturdy too. If you are going for a second-hand crib, make sure that it is not more than 3 years old.
Next most essential on list is a table for changing your baby’s diapers. What you can do is, get a baby changing tray and simply change for your little one. Why I call this an important item is because this one really helps the mom from her aching back. The excessive bending for all the diaper change that she has to do in a day can be “quite a chore.” Believe me, once you have it, you will know its value more.
Babies are delicate and therefore they should be introduced to all the things of the world in a delicate way. Whether it is sound or the color, I suggest it should come in a more subtle way. This helps your child to accept them more with ease. When it comes to sound, introduce, musical mobile with soft lullabies or the natural sounds of nature. These also help as great visual and audio stimulation for them. I got a Winnie the Pooh mobile for my newborn son recently. It not only puts him to sleep peacefully but also adds to a perfect finishing touch to the nursery.
