Bedding tips for your baby’s room
Decorating for your baby’s nursery is a very exciting time. You get to pick out a paint color, furnish the room with fun efficient pieces that will also function to keep your baby safe while also making it easy for you to care for your baby. Another part of the decorating process is figuring out the crib’s bedding. Here’s a guide to how to pick the best bedding for your baby and what accessory essentials should go with it.
Choosing a theme is a great ways to help you decorate your baby’s room. From a carousel theme to a jungle theme, the possibilities are endless. But you should not overcrowd the room with too many decorations. Choose only one simple theme and then spread it out around the nursery. Your bedding (including the fitted sheet, dust ruffle, and crib wrap) can either complement the theme by incorporating one of the colors in the theme or having some of the theme characters featured.
For a boy or girl
These colors are fairly obvious when it comes to decorating. But you might want to mix up the standard pink baby girl bedding and blue baby boy bedding. You don’t want to have too many different colors going on, but a complementary one or two colors will look really nice. Have either the pink or blue be the principle color and then use the bedding to highlight a nice balancing color. Pink looks great with a black and white checkered pattern, while blue looks nice with a deep brown wood color or a clean white.
For a gender neutral room
If you are choosing to decorate your baby’s room with gender neutral colors like yellow or green then you will have a lot of freedom when it comes to decorating. Choosing one bright shade of the color and then balancing it with lighter colors is tasteful. Or you can pick a specific shape, like triangles, and make a theme out of that with lots of different bright colors that will pop against a white wall.
