Doorbell chime covers are the first things guests see
Inviting guests over is a big deal because your home is a gateway to your personal life. Beyond the front door, outsiders can see what it is you personally deem worthy of surrounding yourself with. Of course, just because a guest is allowed into your home does not mean he is granted access to every nook and cranny of your house. When giving a tour of the quarters, you’ll of course show them the living room, the bathroom, a quick glance at the bedrooms, and perhaps the kitchen and storage. There is one more portion of the home that every guest sees that is often overlooked, though: the porch. Before even stepping foot into your abode, every guest performs the necessary ritual to gain entry: ringing the doorbell politely.
Most folk will spend the bulk of their energy hustling and bustling in order to put the interior of their home in order, and they will forget that the first part of any home that guests will see is the exterior. While it is very difficult and time consuming to maintain a beautiful garden, there are other options to keep you porch inviting and appealing.
Potted plants – Having a few potted plants demonstrates there is stability in your home, and that it is a place where life can thrive. Putting them aside your door or by a window sill is more than adequate.
Wind chime – these add a bit of whimsy and character to any home. The way a wind chime catches the sun’s rays and dances about your home creates a memorable welcoming experience.
