Keep up with the Jones’ new big screen
When it comes to keeping up with the Joneses, there is one benchmark that stands out above all else. You may have nicer car, but maybe your neighbor likes his Prius for green reasons; you may have a nicer kitchen, but maybe your neighbor enjoys fine dining more than staying in; you may even have the newest gadgets, but all your neighbor really needs is his smart phone! The home entertainment system is where you can truly but heads, though. More specifically, if you have a big screen TV that eclipses that of your neighbors, you will know that you have come out victorious in at least one of the arenas of competition.
What exactly is the largest television screen on the market, though? When it comes to the quality of the screen, you’ll need a television set with LED, LCD, or plasma technology. LEDs are the superior picture provider and becoming more affordable with time, and plasmas have the most vivid color. It’s advisable to shop around but these three have the best picture. Size-wise, if you want to go all out, you’ll go for a 90″ Sharp LED television which will cost near $11,000. Understandably, this is a quite a bit to chew off, and unless you have a large living room, it will be entirely too much TV. Become carries an 80″ Sharp LED TV at just shy of $4000. The price difference is gargantuan and 80” is still more than most homes can handle.
Even if you aren’t trying to one-up your next door neighbor, a new television is a great way to boost the entertainment factor in your home. It’s a great way to bring the family around while watching movies, blast background music while cooking, or just have more screen real estate to play co-op games with your friends and kids.
