One of the biggest enemies while listening to music would have to be ambient sounds. Thanks to noise cancelling headphones you can peacefully listen to your music whether you are in a plane or a crowded place. Let’s take a look at a few noise cancelling headphones and how they work.

On a flight you would have noticed there is quite a bit of ambient noise. This is where noise cancelling headphones would be at their very best. With regular headphones your only option would be to crank up the volume making listening to lower volumes impossible. Noise cancelling headphones basically cancel ambient noise with the help of small microphones located inside the earpiece. They are perfect when it comes to reducing low frequency noises like the noise created by an airplane.

One of the first noise commercially available cancelling headphones was offered by Bose. Now quite a few manufactures like Sennheiser and Panasonic offer good noise cancelling headphones. The Bose Quiet comfort noise cancelling headphones are one of the most popular series around. The Quiet Comfort 15 would have to be one of the most impressive noise cancelling headphones around. They are very large but would have to be one of the most comfortable headphones around. The 35 hour battery life is quite impressive. The Quiet Comfort 15 uses a AAA battery so changing it wouldn’t be that much of a problem. The only drawback with these headphones would be their size and the cost. Bose introduced the Quiet Comfort 3 which is actually similar to the 15’s but a whole lot smaller.

If you are looking for wireless noise cancelling headphones then the Denon Globe cruiser would be your best bet. These headphones are designed for people who travel a lot. These noise cancelling headphones feature 40mm dynamic drivers and an integrated amplifier. They are equipped with advanced noise-cancelling circuitry to mask ambient sound. The presence of Bluetooth 3.0 ensures that you can play back media wirelessly from almost every Bluetooth capable media device. The only issue with these headphones would be the battery life. With all the features present in it, the rechargeable battery can only offer you about 10 hours of listening time. If you can live with it then you definitely consider getting one of these.
