Summer backyard activities for kids
Summer holidays may be a fun time for kids but it sure can take a toll on the mental and physical health of a parent. And I mean it literally! There is not enough to keep them occupied through the day but there are some great outdoor ideas for the summer if you have little kids. You can choose some active products that will give them some exercise and a way to burn off all of that young energy.
Here are a few of my favorites, which ensure that your baby is going to be tired enough to nap well and also feast on brussel sprouts out of hunger!
It’s not possible to take your kids swimming at the community pool or club every time they want to go splash in the water. But if you have a backyard big enough to keep a kiddie pool, then they can splish and splash all afternoon, while you lounge around on the patio and keep an eye on them. Go for a convenient size like the safari animal kiddie pool, which is perfect for kids, but has enough place for adults to squeeze in for some fun!
My kids said they didn’t need a trampoline because the living room couch was just perfect for their monkeying needs! But I had a better plan, which would save that expensive couch so I got a ‘My First Jumper’ mini trampoline that your kids will love. They can jump, bounce, laugh and have hours of fun on this trampoline for hours. It is designed exclusively for young children and fits the backyard well without taking up too much space.
Lawn games set
You can also get a nice lawn games set for your kids that includes a net for playing volleyball and badminton. These are not expensive and will keep your little devils occupied while you do household chores.
