Quick cleaning tips
A quick and painless way to clean up and stay organized is to pick up after you every day. But you’re probably thinking this is easier said than done. With punishing work schedules, long commutes, managing children and home, cleaning and organizing takes a back seat and then slowly piles up to this huge monster. The only way to avoid this is to have a daily cleaning plan to stay on top of things. And it actually works and doesn’t take up too much time.
Spend a couple of hours initially to just take stock of things to make your daily plan work, whether it’s for the office or home. Make a list of cleaning supplies like sponges, all-purpose cleaners, bathroom cleaners, dish washing liquids, detergents, and furniture stain removers, a carpet cleaning package, paper towels and others and stock up. Also ensure you have the right cleaning tools to make cleaning easy and quick.
At home, ensure all family members are involved in the process. Each person picks up their own things and puts them back in place. Every member should have a cleaning and tidying job assigned like running the washing machine, loading the dishwasher, making the beds, wiping down the shower cubicle; cleaning and wiping dry the washbasins and other jobs. Weekends can be reserved for heavier jobs like carpet cleaning, vacuuming staircases and so on. Even the little ones can help with the dusting or help put toys back in place.
Make sure you assign a place for every little thing in the house. Like, in a kitchen, the plates have to go into a particular shelf, the dishes into another, the cereal in this shelf and so on. And let everybody in the house be familiar with the whole routine. This makes it easy to follow this, “A place for everything and everything in its place”. Following this diligently will make tidying up easy and quick.
