Who says vegetable smoothies have to be icky-looking, yuck-tasting, blended health? Smoothies are the fastest and freshest way to get your veggies. But before you start working on those yummy concoctions, here are a few tips to help make you create superb smoothies in a flash:

Liquid first – Blender blades can move more freely if surrounded by juice or water. Greens come next, then fruit and veggie chunks last.

Slow start – Never set your blender speed high at once. Start at slow speed to break up big pieces of veggies and fruits first. Then, work your way up the high speed for a smoothly blended puree.

Ice-savers – If you’ve added too much juice, water, or milk, add a few cubes of ice to thicken.

Now that you got the basics covered, you’re ready to whip up some stellar veggie drinks. With just 5 ingredients (and less), these easy vegetable smoothie recipes can be prepped, made, and consumed all in under a minute!
